The most recent episode from Today with Sarah and Marilyn was titled: God is for you. When the world is against us, when the enemy is fighting to take us out, our God is for us. In each episode, Marilyn and Sarah encourage us to daily seek the Lord, spend time in His Word, and pray effectively. The mother-daughter dynamic (Marilyn being Sarah’s mother) creates a sense of intimacy and closeness to the Lord that is truly divine.
This particular program was design to look at specific needs in your life. Needs that may be related to finance, emotional issues, or relationship issues. We all have needs in are life that require healing.
At the start of the show Marilyn holds up an empty glass, representing the emptiness we all a lot of the time feel in our lives. She contests that she believes that we will see the solution to emptiness. God has the key to your emptiness. God is like Emmanuel, when you feel empty he is with you to fill that emptiness. A lot of the time we try many solutions except for God, but God can fill that emptiness the best we know.
Marilyn shares that when she was a little girl, only 11, her father told her she can work, she can get a job, whether it be babysitting or cleaning houses. Her mother sat her down and explained to her the importance of tithing. Giving 10% of your income, no matter how small or large, to the Church. Fast-forward years later, this methods still works. It worked in the most supernatural way possible. She finished her bachelor’s degree without owing a dime in debt. Tithing is the way to keep God with you.
They presented their new amazing CD series called God is for you, it’s very practical hitting many needs that we have. It has the word of God in it to help you through everything. It’s great for on the go listening in the car, with your kids, and as a general outlet for your needs.
The busier the world gets the more we feel like there’s no room to breathe, catch your emotional breath and pause for a moment. The modern world makes emotional needs even more intense. We understand that seeking help, calling into the show, we can appreciate that it takes energy to do that. So Sarah and Marilyn pledged that they will pray for us all. So God can help us and make us stronger inside.
This is why I love watching LoveWorld USA, no matter which show you find yourself watching it is always inspiring. It makes us closer to God and the Gospel. It fulfills our everyday needs so we can become better Christians.
