Taking Charge of 2023 Through Prayer and Fasting

The Global Day of Prayer and Fasting with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome begins today. This is the first one of the ‘Year of the Prolific Church‘. We are taking charge of 2023, as our Man of God told us in his message for the year at the New Year’s Eve Service: “2023 will be, for many, a final call because it is a year of decisions for the world…This should stir in us the necessity to take the message to all the world.”

The Global Day of Prayer and Fasting which begins today, the 9th of January, and will continue fro 7 days until the 15th of January 2023.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome told the global audience who watched the live broadcast: “You will be prolific. Everything about you will grow exceedingly. At the power of the Holy Ghost. And anyone that comes in contact with you will know that this is one that the Lord has blessed,”

“…God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.” Ephesians 6:16-18

We were given 3 instructions by our Man of God:

Prioritize the Ministry of the Spirit; prioritize the Word of God; learn to use the name of Jesus.

Make changes through prayer

Ensure you participate and make tremendous changes all around the world through your heartfelt prayers. We have learned so much from the previous Global Prayer and Fasting days that we can make a difference in the world.

The victorious, maiden edition of the Global Day of Prayer with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, took place in 2021, the ‘Year of Preparation‘.

When it took to the airwaves on March 26th, an incredible record-breaking attendance of over 5.3 billion participants from around the world logged in. This phenomenon happened again at the one-year anniversary of the Global Day of Prayer with Pastor Chris, which was a monumental and resounding success against the evils of the world, during the time of the global COVID-19 pandemic, where so much was unknown, and when the nations of the world needed hope and comfort from the unknown devastation.

We will continue in prayer to ensure that all nations remain aligned with God’s master script through our prayer at the Global Day of Prayer.

Recapping the Difference between ‘praying and fasting’, and ‘fasting and praying’

We have read in previous articles that Pastor Chris has told us that sometimes as Christians, we can miss God’s order of things.

“God is a God of order, and order gives meaning to things. For example, all around the world, people tend to confuse the order and say, ‘fasting and prayer’, instead of ‘prayer and fasting’. Prayer comes before fasting in the Scriptures.”

He has explained in the past that the emphasis should be on praying. “It’s a call to prayer, and because you’re praying, you’re consciously staying away from eating. The fast is on, because you’re praying, not because you’re not eating.”

Pastor Chris continues to encourage the nation to pray by saying: “God wants his Church to live as a kingdom and not as an organization. His plan was to raise a kingdom of priests.

This year the church is proliferating to the ends of the earth, Hallelujah!
