Healed from a debilitating disease
15-year-old Prisca found herself contending with health complications that threatened her very existence. She experienced dizziness, fever, body pain, vomiting, hair loss, and blood cell and immunological abnormalities. Her legs were swollen, and she was so emaciated that she could hardly move or stand; she had to depend on a wheelchair for mobility. Her initial diagnosis was malaria and typhoid fever, but after treatment commenced, the symptoms she experienced worsened. Prisca was referred to several hospitals and was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus after so many tests were conducted. Despite the medical procedures and treatments she underwent, there was no improvement.
