As Christians, it is easy to pray for all nations to encounter Jesus, but this is only because of our faith. According to many of the countries we pray for, it is a death wish to accept Jesus. Yet, without concern for the life-threatening obstacles and consequences, we still believe, we still pray, and we still hope in a greater reward.
The true conditions that much of the rest of the world faces when learning or sharing about Jesus Christ is something so unknown to a majority of Christians. Especially in the United States where one reality lies so far from another, how can we even begin praying for the needs in the rest of the world?
We are thankful to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and Christ Embassy for responding to the great call that God gave to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. Through the generosity and giving of Pastor Chris and his ministry, there is now an opportunity to help spread the gospel in Pakistan and to further minister to the local Christians there.
Without access to the Word of God, the seed that grabs root will not bloom and die before ever producing fruit. Missionaries have been risking their own lives to travel to countries closed to the gospel, providing hope and truth but rarely having the means to give any more than that.
This is not to say that the gospel is not enough, but how can the power be truly transformative without knowing and understanding the Word?
