Pastor Chris Oyakhilome made the premature announcement at the close of the third day of the Global Prayer and Fasting that July would be the ‘Month of Joy‘.

As the 3-day Global Prayer and Fasting drew to a close, the man of God, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome declared July to be ‘the Month of Joy’ ahead of the July Global Communion Service. It was unconventional as Pastor Chris usually reveals the Word of the Month for each month during the monthly Global Services, but he revealed July early, saying it was a special month.
“It will be a month of celebration and we will be eating at the Lord’s table,” the man of God declared.

Declarations made last year at the July Global Communion Service
When Pastor Chris announced that July was to be the ‘Month of Joy’ at the Global Communion Service last year, he said: “This is the 7th month of the year, and God has a plan for us; we’re going to celebrate like never before,” he remarked amid effusive shouts of joy from the global audience.
He went on to say: “We’re going to joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ; every day of this month, we will celebrate.”
Pastor Chris read from Nehemiah 8:10, Romans 5:11, Romans 14:17, and 1 Peter 1:8 when he told the global audience to remain in an eclipse of joy throughout the month. He highlighted the peculiarity of the month and admonished the saints to organize love feasts, sing songs of praise to God, offer prayers of joyful thanksgivings, bask in uplifting exhortations, and share testimonies as they make merry with food and drinks regularly all through the month.
The Man of God gave specific instructions on the organization of Love Feasts as part of the celebration all through the month. He announced to the global audience worldwide: “We are going to celebrate like we have never done before. Very important. Every day of this month, we will celebrate, and here is the instruction, you are going to organize Love Feasts throughout this month.”
