2023, the ‘Year of the Prolific Church’ has been a very busy year so far for Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. He stood in front of the global audience at the New Year’s Eve Service promising us a year of spiritual enlightenment on an upward trajectory. The Man of God has so far delivered on his promise.
We are not even halfway through the ‘Year of the Prolific Church’, and already he has bestowed on the nations of the world great gifts and blessings through the power of prayer.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is not only a pastor, leader, spiritual healer, prolific author, and successful evangelist, but he is also the most benevolent man who graces the nations with his charity, humanitarian acts of kindness, and philanthropy.
Treat everyone with dignity and respect: “Every Child is Your Child”
The dictionary defines “altruistic’ as someone who always puts others first, and this can be said of the Man of God. Many of Christ Embassy Church and LoveWorld Nation followers know of the unending and tireless spiritual work that Pastor Chris undertakes continually, but not many are aware of the humanitarian side of his work through the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI).
Exposing the Truth
The Man of God, Pastor Chris founded the faith-based, non-political, NGO in Nigeria in 2008. Through various sponsorships, volunteers, and charitable initiatives, COFI was established to help impoverished communities to lead productive and meaningful lives.
Through the various NGOs associated with COFI, Chris Oyakhilome offers access to education, food, medical care, and general assistance to some of the most vulnerable people in the poorest of areas all around the world, especially focusing on sustainable development.
The following humanitarian organizations fall under COFI, and each one is focused on different areas of aid:
Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), Bible for All Mission (BFAM), and InnerCity Mission for Children (ICM). The latter focuses primarily on the well-being of children, where Pastor Chris coined the phrase: “Every child is your child”.
The InnerCity Mission for Children is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by sponsoring various campaigns and initiatives benefiting children living in poverty in inner cities.
Roughly half of the global population resides in urban areas, yet numerous large cities in developing countries lack the capacity to provide essential services to all their inhabitants. Consequently, residents who endure slum conditions lack access to vital services like healthcare and education.
The InnerCity Mission for Children focuses on four core programs: family strengthening, child health and nutrition, childcare and support, and child development.
The vision of the InnerCity Mission is a “world in which orphaned, deprived, excluded and vulnerable children in the inner cities live free of poverty and fulfill their God-given potential, thus becoming responsible and self-reliant adults, profitable to the society.”
There is a Humanitarian Volunteer Network (HVN) of the InnerCity Mission for Children which provides volunteers with mentorship and service opportunities, creating a community of support for children in the inner cities, to deliver sustainable interventions to children, families, and communities.
Through Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his benevolence, vision, and life-long dedication to others, COFI and the organizations operating under the auspices of COFI are giving children hope and aspirations for the future.
