”The greatest part of prayer is not in the prayer itself but the answer. It is God’s response that matters” – Pastor Chris.
The third ‘Global Day of Prayer’ with the man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome was a unique prayer program that was broadcast live on all LoveWorld Networks, several terrestrial TV stations, radio stations, and internet platforms. LoveWorld President, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, continued to emphasize the need for Christians all around the world to bond together in prayers for the Church and the nations of the world in these last days. The ‘Global Day of Prayer’ provided the perfect opportunity for the saints to fulfill their intercessory ministry.
“Here is time to establish the earth, and celebrate the Name of the Lord in the Nations of the World. Jesus is depending on you to win for your city, state, and country. We have angels attending to us, waiting to take action, and as we Pray and make Decrees, they’ll move into our cities, states, and nations and make changes.”
All Power Belongs to God
The Esteemed CEO Pastor Deola Phillips began the 24-hr global event with a session of heart warming prayer. Prayer is the most important activity a Christian can perform on earth. In prayer we minister to the Lord, and ministering to God is more honorable than ministering to men. It’s time to fulfil your priestly ministry! Pastor Deola Phillips led the global audience in a prayer for the sick around the world. ”Fix your mind on someone you know as a point of contact as we pray for the sick,” she went on to say, “We are praying for the sick all over the world. We are praying for Christians all over the world that their faith stands strong! Yes, we have power to utter words that can change and alter destinies! We declare miraculous recoveries! We give no place to the devil! We yield no time to the devil! Evident Changes!” Many around the world who participate in these programs have experienced remarkable testimonies from the past editions of the revolutionary program.
The Holy Spirit Makes the Difference
“And the Spirit of Lord will come upon thee, and thou shall prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man” (1 Samuel 10:6). The importance of the Holy Spirit’s ministry in the Church can never be over emphasized. Jesus and the Father are in Heaven but the Holy Spirit is with us here, and He reveals the Father and Jesus to us. You can’t live an effective Christian life except through the Holy Spirit. No wonder the Lord Jesus commanded His disciples to remain in Jerusalem until they were endued with the power of the Spirit (Acts 1:4). They needed the power of the Holy Ghost to be effective witnesses of the Gospel of Christ.
The apostle Peter, who in timidity and fear, denied Jesus before a young girl, became so bold after he had received the Spirit. When the opportunity came to testify about Christ, he boldly preached the Word and won about three thousand souls to Christ at once: “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls” (Acts 2:41). The Holy Spirit made the difference in his life! The same Holy Spirit is all you need for a successful and fruitful journey in your walk with God and through life! He’ll make the difference in your life if you’ll learn to recognize Him and walk with Him! He’ll take you all the way, and become to you what you need Him to be!
The Second Segment
The second segment of prayers in the ongoing Global Day of Prayer concluded with impactful sessions led by Esteemed member of the CEC, Pastor Ambrose Isesele; as well as other Senior Loveworld Ministers including Esteemed Pastor Linda Okocha; Esteemed Pastor Amaechi Udeaku and Esteemed Pastor Derick Izekor. The ministers exhorted on being persistent in prayer, the importance of praying for the nations, and the power we have as the Church to restrain the activities of spirits of darkness in the nations. Exhortations were followed by moments of fervid prayer for the minds of the leaders of the nations to be guided by God’s Spirit, for their hearts to be open to receive salvation in Christ Jesus, for the influence of satanic decisions over their minds to be cut off and for the protection of Churches against the plots of wicked and unreasonable men. The Church is winning, Hallelujah!
“Sudden changes are about to take place as we pray,” Pastor Chris Oyakhilome declared, ”At this time as we pray, set your mind on different situations. This is a global prayer, we are effecting changes and moving things in the Spirit Realm, and Satan is on the run. Men ought always to pray! Firstly for the ungodly, for all those in authority. We are guided to seek the peace and prosperity of the land in which we live. Go ahead and pray now!”
“Listen, the Churches of God are God’s pillar of truth; they are God’s light and minister to the nations! We cannot allow the stoppage of churches; the frustration of churches, they are Gods witnesses of salvation to the ends of the Earth.” – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
Don’t miss the Global Communion Service with Pastor Chris on Sunday the 4th of October where the theme of the month will be revealed.
