With the 16th Praise Night coming up Pastor Chris Oyakhilome reminds us that our praise must have purpose in order to be meaningful.
As mentioned before at a previous Praise Night by Pastor Chris, “This is another opportunity to get enraptured in heavenly bliss and manifest the power of God through meaningful worship.”
Praise and worship are in fact the foundation on which we live our lives as Christians. Without both, we can’t possibly be effective at being soul-winners and spreading the Word of God.
Through our worship of Him, praise will naturally flow from our actions and words. In doing this our lives will be a true reflection of Christ, from the inside out.
Get ready this ‘Month of Harvest‘ for Praise Night 16 with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and get ready to be enraptured in utter bliss as you join our Man of God for Praise Night 16 on Sunday, the 10th of September at 3:00 pm (GMT+1).
The program will be broadcast live on all LoveWorld Networks.
What is praise?
Praise, in the original Greek, means to sing, to tell of, to give, or to confess.
In other words, praise means to be thankful for God’s blessings, and to declare that to everyone.
Praise starts with a correct understanding of God based on God’s own Word. This includes a growing understanding of who God is, which, in turn, imparts true wisdom to us.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome reminds us that going back to the beginning, praise always starts with a choice to bring yourself before God. Prayer is an excellent place to begin, asking God to help you love him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and bring that fullness to him in worship.
No ordinary book
You can draw near to God each morning beginning with some quiet time reading your daily devotional, Rhapsody of Realities.
This classic love-note from God to you offers messages of life and is often referred to as the “Messenger Angel,” designed and written by Pastor Chris to enhance your spiritual growth and development by bringing you a fresh perspective from God’s Word every day.
You can pray that God will guide you, strengthen you, and give you wisdom for the day.
You can humble yourself before the Lord as you go about doing your daily work and ask Him for renewed vision or understanding for any circumstances or challenges that you face.
You can sing songs of praise and worship, listen to sermons on Pastor Chris Digital Library, or simply offer prayers throughout the day, thanking Him and acknowledging Him.
You can pray for those in need, acknowledging that God sees them, knows them, and longs to bring them his presence and comfort.
There is no wrong way to praise the Lord—except not doing it.
God wants an intimate relationship with you. The idea of prayer is His idea, not man’s idea, and the reason is that He wants to answer us, Pastor Chris tells us constantly.
He wants to hear your thoughts, fears, concerns, gratitude, and joys. You can share everything with him in prayer and devote every moment to him in love.
Praising God means lifting yourself self to him completely, recognizing that he alone is worthy of our full worship and adoration.
