Jennifer Freeman:

“Many young girls, including my eight-year-old daughter, look up to me. I’ve decided that I don’t want to do roles that are going to send the wrong message. That has definitely been challenging but it is doable, and Christian actresses like me need to know that”.

As a Christian, Jennifer believes that Hollywood is meant for her, that she’s supposed to be there. Many may see Hollywood as the devil’s playground.

Jennifer Freeman:

“I think that there’s a lot about the industry that I hope to change. Even the way I was discovered speaks loudly of God’s work. Looking back I now understand that it was a divine orchestrated moment. God sent the recruiting lady to me. Yet, the environment is challenging with my faith. There’s a lot of roles that I have been offered or I know would advance my career and yet I feel like that’s not something that I’m supposed to be doing. God is giving me so much favor to keep on going and to pursue Him in the midst and be a light for other people. If I don’t make Hollywood a better place filled with the Lord then who’s going to change it? God loves Hollywood, God loves actresses, and God can use Hollywood to change the world. If we’re all going to stay just in the four wall of the Church then that’s where God’s going to stay”.

Many people were in the church before they became actresses, but by the time they go to Hollywood they end up denouncing their faith or compromise their beliefs.

Jennifer Freeman:

“The way I was saved was by going to a church play when I was nine years old. Growing up we didn’t go to church regularly but my family considered ourselves Christian. So when I hit my twenties I went through a diverse which is where I hit rock bottom and through that experience I found God. It was the first time I realized I could have a relationship with God. Once I found God the Holy Spirit kept on filling me and showing me myself”.
