Our Man of God has told us that Christianity is not a way of life but Christianity has a way of life. Pastor Chris offers a forum of questions and answers where he tries to answer every question with his wealth of knowledge.

One of the questions that were asked recently was about marriage:

What is the role of parents in the choice of a partner?

Pastor Chris addressed this question by saying that: “the role of parents is in the choice of a partner and it depends on who the parents are. All parents are not the same; not every parent is led by the Spirit. Some are not Christians and some are Christians, some have insight, and some have no insight. The Bible didn’t say as many that are led by parents, it says as many as are led by the Spirit of God and so the Spirit of God leads us and ministers to us through those who He indwells, through those in whom He lives especially those that he has called into our lives to minister to us, to guide us through the Spirit and sometimes, that could be a parent and sometimes not.”

He goes on to say that there are no hard and fast rules about parentage there, otherwise, what about others things in life? It can’t just be about marriage, why don’t they decide about ministry for you or other things about your life and future?

“There has to be the ministry of the Spirit when it comes to anything that concerns your life. For anything that’s important to you, you need the guidance of the Holy Spirit and that guidance could come through the different levels of leadership that the Lord has provided for you in the house of God and that can include your parents.”

One of the principal guides for living a spiritual life is the daily devotional, Rhapsody of Realities. Besides being a study guide, it is also an important evangelical tool that has been adopted by individuals, churches, and organizations around the world for effective soul-winning. Through the devotional, the Lord has opened up the nations to the Gospel, with millions receiving salvation upon contact with its divine message.

Guidelines on life from Pastor Chris

In one Rhapsody of Realities, we learned about an extraordinary family of God.

1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.” The Spirit of God in you is all the power and strength you need against the pressures and adversities of life. Be conscious of His indwelling presence.

God has a family that’s named after Him. Some members of this glorious family are in heaven while some others are on earth. The ones on the earth include all of us that are born again, while those in heaven are God’s people who have passed onto glory. Those in heaven are as real in heaven as we are on the earth, but it’s one and the same family.

No one amongst us is an ordinary person; each one of us can, and should do supernatural things; ours is an extraordinary family of the mighty.

Pastor Chris tells us that when you’re confronted with intimidating situations, confess strength and not weakness or fear. Declare that you’re strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power that’s at work in you.

When your spirit is enlightened by God’s Word through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, you’re able to know God’s will and purpose. The guidance of the Holy Spirit is so important in our lives. He guides your steps and grants you an understanding of the Word. With Him, you’re never at a crossroads. Knowing Him and walking with Him is the key to that successful life you’ve always desired.

If you aren’t sure about God’s perfect will on any matter, give some time to pray in the Spirit. He’s the embodiment of all knowledge. Ask Him, and He’ll reveal the knowledge or guidance you need in your spirit.
