In a recent Facebook post, people were asked to share their wishes for 2020 with members of the LoveWorld family. Sharing prayers and good wishes is something that our Man of God, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has guided us to do. In one of his sermons, he taught us that‘our spiritual life depends on our communication with the Lord’.
What do we wish for each other?
Abah wishes for spiritual growth. Pastor Chris has taught us to ” Learn to invest your time in the study of the Word, prayer, soul-wining and other spiritual activities like attending church services and other scheduled meetings regularly. Spend quality time in fellowship with the Holy Spirit every day. Invest your resources by constantly sowing seeds into the furtherance of the gospel. Before long, there’ll be a bountiful harvest, and you’ll experience tremendous growth in every area of your life.” Pastors Chris’s sermons will help and guide us to that spiritual growth.
The sermons of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome inspire us daily
It is a wish for all who have heard Pastor Chris’s sermons to want to share the words he has taught us. He has told us, “Every month, have your target, and a clear cut plan of how you’re going to effectively lead people to Christ.” In that sermon he went on to explain that we are “commissioned to take the message of salvation to everyone in your world; therefore, this year, more than you’ve ever done, get yourself occupied with evangelism and soul-winning. Help someone else receive salvation; help those around you learn the Word; show them the path of life! Teach them how to live. This is your calling as a Christian.”
Good wishes for a good world
Our Man of God Pastor Chris has told us “God has shown us in His Word that we can change anything, including things that were divinely destined to be.” We have to keep that strong bond with God through our regular prayers. He emphasized the importance of these prayers being genuine, “It is important that prayer is heartfelt, even if you’re reading or reciting it.” We can heal the world through prayer
Fulfilling my purpose
Pastor Chris has taught us that ” Nothing could be more fulfilling than a life with purpose.” He asked us to pray for enlightenment. In saying the following prayer, “Dear heavenly Father, I worship and adore you; blessed be your Name forever, for you’ve enlightened my heart to know and understand your will for my life, and to recognize the several opportunities you’ve set before me to fulfill my purpose and be a blessing to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. ” It is something that Christians look for actively. As Pastor Chris urges us to keep praying it will edify us to do God’s Holy work.
When Samuel shared his wish to fulfill his purpose we can all pray and wish for this together. There is so much power and beauty in this wish. 2020 is going to be something special with so many prayers bein spoken under the guidance of Pastor Chris.
‘Thanksgiving in Blessings’ according to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
What an amazing wish for 2020 from Sharon. She has thanked God for the blessings of 2019. Pastor Chris was very clear on that this month. He sais “Bless God by giving Him thanks for who He is, for His mighty works and all He has done for you!” All over the globe, there have been beautiful services of thanksgiving. This year has been amazing in ministry and we should say thank you for that.
Pastor Chris has expounded that when you walk with the Holy spirit ” It means the situation that’s destroying others won’t affect you in any way because you’ll be transported above them by the power of the Holy Spirit.” This wish is so strong it is a powerful wish we can all aspire to.
