It has been an unprecedented, difficult year for most people this year. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected global economies and social structures worldwide. People have been in isolation and quarantine. It has been a year of uncertainty and challenges for everyone.
Social media has been a notable force in our world today. It has given everyone a voice. Whether young or old, rich or poor, leader or follower, everyone has a voice on social media. KingsChat as a social media platform sets the right tone for all categories of Christians; church leader or follower, church worker or first-timer, a new convert, or soul-winner. Together with the Christ Embassy, KingsChat has introduced Art2Win, supporting innovative content creators, and allowing the participants freedom to express themselves. Christian millennials, who are rooted in their faith, have been hungry for a space to express themselves online. This is what prompted Pastor Chris Oyakhilome to launch this LoveWorld Ministry platform.
What is Art2Win?
Beginning on the 19th of October, Creators’ Hotpot will be awarding a weekly prize of $100 to the best content creators for relevance and engagement of content posted.
In the category of relevance, a panel of judges will choose the winner(s) based on how the content fills or creates a needed category, or related to current events. For instance, a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) training video where the platform had not hosted DIY videos before could be considered highly relevant; in the same vein, a fresh perspective to an already existing category could also be considered relevant.
Under the engagement category, statistics (likes, comments, and shares) will be used to determine the winner(s). Content creators are, therefore, encouraged to share a link to their content on other social media platforms, encouraging their followers to visit KingsChat and upvote them with relevant likes, shares, and comments. Engagement on other social media platforms is not counted in determining winners in the engagement category.
To participate, simply post your content — short movies, music, other video content, educative and comedy skits, DIY content, memes, designs, animations, eyewitness news reports, and stories/articles — with #Art2Win. Then, encourage your followers on all social media platforms to visit KingsChat to like, comment, and share your post. First winners will be announced on Monday, October 26, here on KingsChat. Each cycle will kick off on Monday and conclude on Sunday, with winners announced within 24 hours of a cycle closing. Remember, to win, content must not be available on any other platform. You can win based on relevance only, engagement only, or both. Creators must respect the intellectual property of other creators (on or outside of KingsChat) and not represent another creator’s work as theirs or impersonate others.
Creativity and Innovation
Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity is characterized by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate solutions. Creativity involves two processes: thinking, then producing.
An act of creativity can be grand and inspiring, such as creating a beautiful painting or designing an innovative new product. But an idea need not be artistic or world-changing to count as creative. Life requires daily acts of ingenuity and novel workarounds; in this sense, almost everyone possesses some amount of creativity.
Many people feel that they have no or very limited creative ability—even some who work in creative fields—and it’s true that certain individuals are more creative than others. Fortunately, however, creativity can be acquired and honed at any age or experience level.
Innovation is not some divine gift; it’s actually the skilled application of knowledge in new and exciting ways. It requires changing up one’s normal routine, stepping outside of typical comfort zones, and paying attention to the present moment.
Examples of Poetry
An example of creativity is depicted in a beautiful poem submitted by Prince Obiefula, inspired by ‘Your LoveWorld with Pastor Chris’. How much is enough to sell your conscience? Stand for the truth, don’t deny the faith!
