Dominion Over Darkness

In today’s Rhapsody of Realities, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome discusses ‘Dominion over Darkness’. This is a theme that our Man of God repeats in many sermons, and teachings, telling us that the darker the world, the brighter our lights must shine, for we’re the light in a dark world. The wickedness and evil we see in our world are our opportunities to shine the light of the Gospel.

Winning Souls

A sinful and hurting world presents us with compelling opportunities to establish the righteousness of Christ. It’s our calling; we’ve got to do it! Bearing the light of the Gospel, we’re to turn men from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God. This is our overwhelming responsibility to be a missionary here on earth and an ambassador for Christ commissioned to take the message of salvation to everyone in our world.

Help someone else receive salvation; help those around you learn the Word; show them the path of life! Teach them how to live. This is your calling as a Christian.

The Bible didn’t say “God has given to the pastors and evangelists the ministry of reconciliation,” rather it says He has given to us everyone who’s born again the ministry of reconciliation. It’s our call to be effective soul winners. God’s highest blessings are for soul winners. As you win souls, you’re promoted in the spirit, and the Spirit of God increases His grace and glory upon your life to do more.

Being Born Again

”When you were born again you received eternal life if you don’t recognize the reality of eternal life; if you don’t recognize that you have actually received eternal life, you cannot live it,” explains Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

He encourages us to exercise our dominion over Satan, fear, sickness, discouragement, and lack, by saying: “The day you were born again, you were born into total and continuous victory. Therefore, live each day of your life in victory over every situation. That’s the life of the believer. Victory is your birthright. Have the consciousness that you can’t be defeated or disadvantaged. Walk in the light of your victory over the world, the devil, and the circumstances of life! Have the mindset of a victor!”

Being born again, Pastor Chris explains that we are superior to Satan; we defeated Satan in and with Jesus—in Satan’s own domain—hell!

He continues by saying: “Therefore, you’re not under the authority, dominion, jurisdiction, or powers of darkness; they can’t affect your life anymore. Where you are is a realm they can’t attain to or approach; it’s the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. You’re not supposed to be at the mercy of demons. But the problem is that many in the Church haven’t exercised their authority and dominion over Satan and the powers of darkness.”

“If the devil is causing your hands, head, trunk, voice, or legs to shake rhythmically, you say, “Hold on, devil! I belong in the Kingdom of Christ, not in the domain of darkness. Therefore, in the Name of Jesus, body, I command this anomaly to stop!” That’ll be the end of that trouble. When you insist, your body will comply, because God’s Word is law! Nothing can resist the power in the Name of Jesus,” Pastor Chis explains.

Join Pastor Chris next Sunday for the Global Communion Service where we welcome in the new month and the new word of the month, bidding farewell to the ‘Month of Visualization’.
