LoveWorld Blesses the National Youth Service Corps with The Greatest Gift of All

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp took place in Kaduna, Nigeria this month. The NYSC was established in 1973 in order to reconstruct, reconcile and rebuild Nigeria after the Civil war. According to decree No.24 (and as stated in the NYSC Governmental Website), the National Youth Service Corps gives a view to the proper encouragement and development of common ties among the youths of Nigeria and the promotion of national unity.

“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation’” Mark 16:15

Pressing on the hearts of all Christ Embassy members is the joy and desire to tell everyone about the Lord, Jesus Christ. The “Corpors LoveWorld” of Christ Embassy, in the city of Kaduna, felt compelled to reach out through the current National Youth Service Corp orientation camp. With endless copies of the best-selling daily devotional, Rhapsody of Realities by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the Corpors LoveWorld was successful in reaching over 500 National Youth Service Corp members with the gospel.

“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” 1 Peter 3:15

Rhapsody of Realities is transforming lives through the hopeful Word of God and the wise words of Pastor Chris that are sprinkled throughout in forms of short devotionals. These devotionals are vital for the new believer, or even the one that may be curious and is reading the Bible for the first time. As readers are challenged to ask the hard questions, they are met in their reading with solutions and answers to the things unknown to them.

At the National Youth Service Corps orientation camp, young men and women from throughout Nigeria were introduced to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and the powerful Word of the Lord. The presence of God was felt by many of the youth members participating in the orientation camp. According to LoveWorld News, there were even Muslims in attendance that felt compelled to take their own personal copy of the Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional and Bible. The Word of God most definitely transcends all religions and points to the one truth and gospel of Jesus Christ.

“And it will be said in that day, ‘Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us this is the Lord for whom we have waited; Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.” Isaiah 25:9

It is with overwhelming joy that we share of over 150 National Youth Service Corp members who opened their hearts to God and welcomed the love of Christ in. Lives were forever marked and changed from this outreach and the youth of Nigeria are experiencing newness of life and purpose in God.
