“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
Matthew 9:35-38(KJV)
One of the greatest blessings you can give someone is a reason to experience the fullness of joy. To help someone who is lacking to feel a sense of joy can transform their perspective and encourage a great change in their life. It was a sure mission for the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), Christ Embassy, Southern Africa Zone 1 to bless everyone they came in contact with across the orphanages, hospitals, street kids, and child-headed homes.
With celebration and praise unto God, from the outpouring of their hearts, the South Africa LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry team organized an Orphanage Blanket and Food Drive Outreach. The purpose of bringing materials such as foodstuffs, blankets, and other useful items to those in need was only scratching the surface of the transformational connections that were made throughout each of these communities with the SA LMAM team.
The focus of the Orphanage Blanket and Food Drive Outreach was to bless those in need. The beneficiaries of these physical items, unfortunately, have so little hope in their perspective of life because of the struggles they face every day to survive and provide for their families. SA LMAM divided into groups of different churches and used this as an opportunity to offer the most important blessing and gift – Salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ and eternal life with God!
Everything we do in life is an opportunity to show the Glory of God, and He is faithful to provide these opportunities. We are overjoyed and in awe of what took place during this drive. Through the teaching and sharing of the gospel as delivered by the man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome, 220 people willingly gave their hearts to Christ! Many new believers were in attendance in church on Sunday following the outreach.
The Orphanage Blanket and Food Drive Outreach brought the masses to receive every good thing God intends to give His children. Our circumstances we cannot always control. However, He has promised us a hope and a future, and He wants to be our reality – not our circumstances.
A glorious time was had by all as the LMAM Christ Embassy, Southern Africa Zone 1 organized and executed a wonderful (and truly life-changing for many beneficiaries) Orphanage Blanket and Food Drive Outreach. A successful #CommunitySunday, indeed!
