On Friday President Trump deemed churches and houses of worship “essential services” and called upon governors to allow them to open, saying he will “override” governors if they don’t cooperate. This coincides with the fulfillment of the prophetic word declared by the esteemed Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, at the May Global Communion Service.
Month of Opening
The man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome, declared May to be ‘the Month of Opening’ at the May Global Communion Service which was held on Sunday, May 3rd. The global congregation who connected to the service via all LoveWorld TV Networks, radio stations, and various internet platforms, received the word with great rejoicing.
Pastor Chris, expounded that God is doing something very special in the lives of individuals, families, institutions, cities, and nations around the world. He encouraged God’s people to expect openings in various aspects of their lives, further stating that not only will there be an experience of it but there will be a projection of it. He urged the saints to express profound thanks to God for His Word and what He is determined to do in their lives throughout the month of May and beyond.
Churches Deemed Essential
The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has ordered Governors of the various states in the US to open up Churches, Mosques and other places of worship immediately. “I call on governors to allow our churches and places of worship to open right now,” President Trump said in remarks at the White House. He emphasized that “These are places that hold our society together and keep our people united.” The President went on to say that many millions of Americans embrace worship as an essential part of life. The ministers, pastors, rabbis, imams and other faith leaders will make sure that their congregations are safe as they gather and pray.
“In America, we need more prayer, not less,” Trump said at a White House press conference. “Some governors have deemed liquor stores and abortion clinics as essential but have left out churches and other houses of worship. It’s not right. So I’m correcting this injustice and calling houses of worship essential.” Governors are responsible for the varying degrees of stay-at-home measures that have been put in place to curtail the spread of Covid-19.
New Guidelines Issued
More than 90 percent of houses of worship have been closed in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, and numerous polls have actually shown that a majority of the American public support the restrictions. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention complied by promptly issuing new guidance to assist faith institutions in their reopening.
