Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, in his multitude of teachings, reminds us that God takes pleasure in all of us and that salvation and righteousness belong to everyone who receives the gospel. Getting to understand what God’s judgment is and how Christians are going to be judged with rewards and praise by God is an essential part of learning, according to our Man of God.
If you are interested to know God’s plan you need to learn to walk with Him and develop a relationship with God.
”Christianity is not a way of life but Christianity has a way of life.” — Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
Develop Your Relationship With Him
Pastor Chris’s teachings tell us that in Christianity, the divine life of Jesus Christ is imparted to the believers, so, when you received Christ into your heart, it was a real experience; something actually happened: Christ took up His abode in you. It’s not an assumption, a speculation, a conjecture, or a theory; it’s real. You received the pulsating life and nature of God into your spirit.
“Christianity, essentially, is God at work in a man; it’s divinity alive in humanity. It’s the outworking or revelation of the spiritual, in the message of Jesus Christ through human vessels. It’s a living relationship, a fellowship with a living God.”
Christianity is more than just a religion; it is about a relationship. By spending time in His Word, and taking time for prayer, you will cultivate that special relationship with Him. When you seek this relationship in your life, God will start to reveal His plan to you.
It is written in the Bible in Proverbs 3: 5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
Seek Spiritual Input
Before God reveals His will and timetable to you, you must be committed to doing whatever it is that He desires you to do. Jesus was willing to die for us, so we should be willing to live for Him! When we surrender to Him that is when He can begin to direct our lives and our true purpose. His will is already revealed to us through His Word. To fully understand His Word, we must read it, learn it, and know it, to live it. A key component to doing that is to seek the input of godly advisors in your life. It is important to surround yourself with people who are instrumental in helping you discover God’s plan for you, as it is said in Proverbs 11:14 “Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.”
As Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has repeatedly taught us in Rhapsody of Realities, “your choice of friends matters to God, so you must be wise when choosing them, even in the church. Many young people unwittingly make friends with the wrong people—carnal Christians—right in the church.”
“A good friend is anyone whose friendship brings you closer to God, inspires you to pray more, learn God’s Word more, and do the things of God more. Your association should encourage and increase your abilities to do more for God. That’s the kind of relationship you should have with others. Be sure your close associations are with Spirit-filled Christians with whom you can share God’s Word and inspire one another with the testimonies of your exploits for His Kingdom.”
