LoveWorld members from all the nations of the world also look forward to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s annual Christmas Eve Service.
On Saturday, December 24th, 9 PM GMT+1, the broadcast will be on all LoveWorld channels and platforms.
LoveWorld Believers worldwide are expected to tune in to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth.
While Christmas and Jesus Christ are the main themes of the Christmas Eve Service, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome will also go over the year we are about to leave behind. Additionally, he will warm up to 2023.
Information about this year’s event is scarce, but the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is expected to contribute with music as it has done in the past. Other LoveWorld ministers are also anticipated to hold prayers at the service.
Christ will come again
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome discussed the meaninglessness of some Christmas songs at last year’s Christmas Eve service.
“It’s a silent, holy night, but they have forgotten the holy one for so long. And that will help you understand why many churches had so much dryness. Churchgoers come and go the same way, and it was never clear to most why. Life would not be produced by excitement. Despite shouting and getting people excited, the spirit isn’t always present. According to him, it makes no difference.
In addition, he discussed the importance of finding meaning in God’s word.
“Christ is soon coming, so we need to change the songs. “It is time to drop all those meaningless things in the house of God and do the things that really matter,” he said.
“It is about time. Every Christmas, in churches worldwide, people get up to sing songs that have no meaning. They do not care, and they never think about it. They hallow the day and hallow the night and do not remember the one whose name is truly to be hallowed,” he added.
Through Jesus, we can obtain salvation
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome pointed out, at the Christmas Eve service in 2020, that Christmas is not a celebration day in heaven.
“In Heaven, they do not celebrate the birth of Jesus as much as we do here… December 25th is not a celebration day there, and the celebration day there is the day when Jesus is born in the heart of a man,” he said.
“That is what brings God joy, and that is what brings Heaven joy, and our celebration celebrates the one who brings that joy. So, we are glad about the birth of Jesus, for, without him, there would be no salvation for anyone,” the pastor explained.
Also, the LoveWorld Founder thanked Jesus Christ.
It was he who made salvation possible. God could live in a human’s heart because of him. Lift your hands and thank Him. Thank Him for his grace, thank Him for His love, thank Him for his kindness, for there is none like Him,” he stated.
