You’re God’s Dream says Pastor Chris in Today’s Rhapsody of Realities

Today Rhapsody of Realities with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is about being God’s dream.

We read in the Bible in James 1:18: “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.”

Pastor Chris Oyakhilme asks how important is it for Christians to trust God? Christians who trust God also seek wisdom from Him, we also continue to trust Him through difficult experiences.

James writes in the Bible that it is so important that we should call our worst moments joyful things because trials help us trust God more. People who trust God ask Him for wisdom, accepting what He gives them. People who trust God make a bigger deal about their rewards in the next life than their wealth in this one. People who trust God don’t blame Him for their desire to sin; they give Him credit for all that is good in their lives. They look into His Word, and they act on what they see there.

Riches in Christ

In the beginning, God created man in His own image. The new creature is God’s dream! He is everything God ever wanted. God created the heavens, the earth, and everything therein, but He couldn’t be one with any of those things. He couldn’t fellowship with any of the animals or things He created except man. His purpose for sending Jesus was to make it possible for man to be brought into oneness with God. So, you’re very special to God, as Pastor Chris explains: “you’re the first and the best of all that God created!”

Pastor Chris goes on to question how we could know this and still live in defeat, misery, and poverty. He has been quoted as saying in the past:

“There is nothing wrong with being poor, but there is everything wrong with remaining poor after you have discovered your riches in Christ.”

He continues to say that “there’s something different about you. You’re the one who can shout, “I’ve got the whole world!” even if your account balance is seemingly in minus because you walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh. You walk by faith, not by sight.”

God gave us the Word of truth through the prophets, without which none of us would know the way of salvation, or the means to be saved. He set out His plan of redemption within the pages of Scripture and faith comes by hearing the Word of God. How we praise and thank Him that by the exercise of His will God brought us forth by the Word of truth so that we would be a “first fruits” among His creatures.

“Be bold to say the same things that God has said concerning you in His Word. That is what takes you beyond salvation, to enjoy the benefits of salvation” – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

Praise The Lord

How we praise God that by the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth.. so that we would be a kind of ‘first fruit’ among His creatures.

I affirm that I am living in God’s timing for my life! In all that I do, God has given me the favor-advantage. His favor is at work in me mightily! Everywhere I go today, I am accepted and highly favored, for I carry God’s divine presence with me. I am a blessing to my world, ordained and chosen of the Father to manifest His glory, wisdom, and excellence to my world.
