Month after month, believers from the LoveWorld community all over the world anxiously anticipate the declaration of the new month, brought to us by the man of God, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. The Communion service is a great opportunity for LoveWorld citizens to look back on the last month and reflect on all the wonderful ways God provided in the month of Direction. When reflective hearts collide with great expectations for what is still to come, God is truly most glorified.
The monthly Communion service never fails to facilitate an atmosphere of thanksgiving and praise to God for all that He has done, is doing and will do. The greatly admired Director of LoveWorld Networks and Regional Pastor of the Southern Africa Region, Pastor Ose Oyakhilome, led the service in prayer this month. As LoveWorld citizens across the globe joined together to commemorate the many amazing miracles and revelations that took place in April, the man of God Pastor Chris ushered in the newness of May.
Watch Pastor Chris address the new month:
The Month of Leadership
As it was revealed to Pastor Chris, May 2019 is the month of leadership! Pastor Chris believes strongly that there is a new grace of leadership being released throughout the world. This is an exciting time in the faith, as great leaders will begin rising up with new anointing and strength. Pastor Chris shares the word he received from the Holy Spirit, “ahead-ship”. This powerful description speaks profoundly about the positioning of God’s people at this time. Within the authority of Jesus Christ, we are made leaders in this world.
In many ways, light is related to leadership. In the darkness, we seek a light to follow, to guide us through. Pastor Chris connected the message of leadership to Matthew 5:14 which writes, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set up on a hill cannot be hidden”. Because of Jesus’ life and resurrection, we have been made the light of the world! When the world seeks direction, the brethren of the Lord lead the world to the truth.
“The most important thing about leadership is light; without light, you are not a leader.” – Pastor Chris
The Communion service also served as the perfect occasion to look back on highlights from the International Easter Youth Camp that recently concluded. With 166 nations being represented, delegates came together for one of the largest youth gatherings in the world. The service then flowed into a time of thanking the Lord for all that took place during the Healing School Autumn Session. Congregants all over the world were so moved by the great power and authority there is in the name of Jesus.
The LoveWorld President, Pastor Chris, never holds back from speaking to his congregants of God’s love and favor for all those who believe. “Not one of us is allowed to live in lack; our Heavenly Father has more than enough angels to minister to us”, says Pastor Chris. Pastor Chris fervently reminds us all that we are true heirs in the divinity and royalty of Jesus Christ, the Messiah and One whom God chose.
We are all called to be leaders
As Pastor Chris continued unpacking the call of leadership and the grace that is going to be poured out in this month, he read from Deuteronomy 28:13 that reads, “Obey the laws and teaching that I am giving you today, and the Lord your God will make Israel a leader among the nations, and not a follower. Israel will be wealthy and powerful, not poor and weak.” Often times, we read scripture and wonder how it applies to us and our world today. When the Word addresses Israel as a nation and land, we must always take what the Lord says and look at ourselves, the church. Do we recognize ourselves as the leader among nations, wealthy and powerful?
The Lord has given the Church His leadership that sets us apart from the rest of the World, in the same way, Israel has been set apart by God. There is a spiritual authority that is taking root and manifesting in each one of us
The more we understand our authority in Jesus, the more powerful we will step into this call of ‘leadership’.
