In a Rhapsody of Realities last year Pastor Chris Oyakhilome discussed taking possession, saying that knowledge makes you a possessor.
Pastor Chris talks about being born again, stating that you’ve been brought into a life of success, prosperity, and health. It’s however your responsibility to work out your victorious life in Christ; “…work out your own salvation…” (Philippians 2:12); in other words, make the salvation you’ve received effective.
“Some Christians don’t realize this, hence they’re hoping, expecting, and praying that God will do something more that will better their lives.”
He continues to say: “There’s nothing more the Lord needs to do than He already did for you in Christ. He’s already done everything necessary to ensure your healing, well-being, deliverance, and prosperity; He’s done everything for you to live a balanced life of righteousness, dominion, and power.”
Take Advantage
The Man of God tells us what we need to do to take possession of the blessings of God in our lives.
He tells us to take advantage of what God has given us and what He has done for us.
“He’s given you all things freely to enjoy. 1 Corinthians 3:21 says “…all things are yours…”; but how are you going to enjoy them?”
2 Peter 1:2-3 gives us the answer; it says, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.”
Pastor Chris reminds us: “Through this special knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ, not only are you acquainted with your rights, privileges, and inheritance in Christ, you’re catapulted to the realm where you walk in the reality of the eternal deposits of God’s blessings in you. It’s knowledge that makes you possess that which is known.”
February is the ‘Month of Possession’
This month of February is the ‘Month of Possession’ which Pastor Chris declared at the recently concluded Global Communion and Praise Service on Sunday. The second month of the ‘Year of the Prolific Church‘.
“This month you will convert your inheritance to your possession by the power of the Holy Ghost” — Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
Recounting the story of how Caleb inherited Hebron irrespective of the presence of the giants in Joshua 14:7-15, Pastor Chris taught that there is a difference between being allotted an inheritance and taking possession of that inheritance. “He converted the inheritance to a possession,” he remarked, referring to Caleb. Pastor Chris furthered that in this month of February, the house of Jacob shall possess all their possessions.
Previous ‘Month of Possession’
Just as the Man of God told us in a previous ‘Month of Possession’, in March 2019; the ‘Year of Lights‘.
“It’s your month of possession. What the Lord has given you is yours. Don’t let anything take it away from you. It doesn’t matter what has been going on in your body, what the pain is… Perfection and healing and completeness for your body. No infirmity can dwell in your body. Your body is the temple of God. You’ve got life in you. In the name of the Holy Ghost. That which is unseen is eternal.”
