Trauma Care International Celebrates World Blood Donor Day

The worldwide annual blood donation day, taking place on June 14th aims to motivate people from all over the world to understand the importance of blood donation and encourage them to partake in blood drives worldwide. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy made it his mission to organize a massive blood drive for people all around Lagos, Nigeria, in the Trauma Care International Foundation. It is so evident through his philanthropic work towards communities across Africa that his heart is with those who are in need of extra care.

It is has been shown that the outcomes of blood drives are significant in the improvement of people’s health. There is nothing more vital than donating blood to those who are in dire need of it, in order to save their lives. Every little bit helps. The mission of the Trauma Care International Foundation is to assist in the healing process of those in need and raise the life expectancy of the population it serves. The foundation helps distribute the utmost care and emergency response services during times of crisis. Furthermore, it is important to note that all services provided are subsidized by the foundation and are free for those who are financially unable. This reduces the amount of stress that is already placed on the individuals who are in need of immediate care. Injuries can range from accidents to sickness, to ongoing health deficiencies.

The foundation has been blessed with the highest quality of health education and organizes community-based programs that inform individuals about the importance of the First Aid and an awareness of the proper trauma care people deserve. Additionally, thousands of safety and emergency training sessions, including students, law enforcement officials, teachers, caregivers, and public service workers, have been executed, in order to enhance the sessions. The training sessions are comprised of specific lectures and simulations that are designed to further stress the importance of emergency care.

Pastor Chris and the whole Christ Embassy have been at the forefront in the establishment of the Trauma Care International and has made it his goal to organize events that help individuals gain an awareness of the need of blood donation. He has also donated tons of equipment to help increase the health status of communities in need across Africa. The Christ Embassy supports humanitarian aid and has made an increasing impact on the lives of people in need. We pray that the lives of the ones touched are blessed and they reach full recovery.
